Visit the old Roman town of Pompeii and climb on Vesuvius, the volcano that destroied it, from Vesuvius summite you will get one of the best panoramic view on the Bay on Naples, then after a stop for lunch (own expense) we will drive to Herculaneum for a visit to the famed archaeological site.

Journey Plan
The tour will start from Naples, our driver will wait for you by the dockside with a tag with your surname on it. You will travel with an air-conditioned luxury sedan car or minivan driven by a professional english speaking local driver that can introduce you the history and main sights that you will see during your shore trip.
The first stop will be at Pompeii there you will have about 2 hours to visit the ancient city of Pompeii, famous as the city that lay buried beneath mounds of volcanic ash after the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius. We can also provide an expert guide that will walk with you and will provide a historic commentary about the ruins, telling a terrible tale of the day it was destroyed, and bringing the remarkable site back to life.
Second stop is on the Vesuvius, we will drive with our comfortable vehicle on top of Vesuvius (about 1000 meters - 3280 feet) where you can walk near the crater and take beautiful pictures.
Here we suggest a stop for a lunch, there are great farmhouse just near the area where you can taste the typical neapolitan food.
After you lunch (optional and at own expense) we will drive to Herculaneum, where unlike Pompeii, covered by a layer of lapillus and ashes, Herculaneum was submerged by a thick layer of lava and mud that preserved it all, sealing everything.
The shore excursion will end by driving you back to Naples port, on the road you can admire other great view of Naples' coast.
