Overview
Visit the Amalfi Coast and Pompeii in one day! Request our Pompeii and Amalfi Coast shore excursion from Naples port and plan your perfect day trip. Our English speaking licensed driver will pick you up from Naples and will drive you to Positano and Amalfi (or Ravello) along the beautiful shoreline of the Amalfi Coast. Then you will continue to Pompeii (entrance fee not included) for a fantastic walking tour of the UNESCO-listed Roman ruins. Your day tour will finish with the driver taking you back to Naples port. Tour layout may vary due to traffic or special events on the specific day.
Please note: On the first Sunday of each month, admisssion to Pompeii ruins is free and we can't reserve tickets in advance. They have to be bought on spot and there will probably be a long line and there is also the possibility that tickets may sell out. In that case you'll be able to visit Herculaneum that normally is less crowded.

Journey Plan
The tour will start from Naples port, our driver will wait for you by the dockside holding a sign with your surname on it. You will travel with an air-conditioned luxury sedan car or minivan driven by a professional English speaking local driver that will introduce you to the history and main sights that you will be see during your trip.
Departing from Naples we will hit first the high way and then the most scenic coastal road in Italy: The Amalfi Coast that includes Positano, Amalfi and Ravello, there are also other beautiful town along the coast, you can decide where to stop and which other city you would like to visit.
First stop will be in Positano, a tiered village built onto the side of the cliffs with a pebble beachfront and steep, narrow streets lined with boutiques and cafes.
About 1 hour drive from Positano we will arrive in Amalfi, where you can visit the iconic multi-colored 9th-century Arab-Norman cathedral of Sant’Andrea or browse the rows of shops along the town’s side-streets.
The final stop is in Ravello, situated in a more elevated position then Amalfi boasting exceptional views of the coast and its marvellous villas and iconic cliffside gardens. Villa Rufolo and Villa Cimbrone are a must see places.
If you would like to stop for the lunch (not included) the driver can suggest the best place for typical food based also on your preferences.
After Amalfi or Ravello we will drive you to Pompeii. Here you will have 2 hours to visit the UNESCO-listed ruins of Pompeii. Buried under the pumice and ash of Mt Vesuvius’ 79 AD eruption, the once-thriving city remained preserved under the rubble. Today, it offers a fascinating look into ancient Roman life (entrance ticket at own expense). We suggest you to book an expert guide in Pompeii to better understand the importance of this archaeological site, the most important in the World! Guide is not included, the cost is 160 Euro for 2 hours.
This full day tour will finish driving you back to Naples port in time for your ship departure.
