Take this shore excursion and drive along the most beautiful coast in Italy. The Amalfi Coast. Visit the sunny Sorrento with stop for lunch (optional) Explore the ancient city of Pompeii, go back in time with a walk through the ancient Roman streets of the archaeological site. Return in time to your ship. Tour layout may vary due to traffic or special events on the specific day.
Please note: On the first Sunday of each month, admission to Pompeii ruins is free and we can't reserve tickets in advance. They have to be bought on the spot and there will probably be a long line and there is also the possibility that tickets may sell out. In that case you'll be able to visit Herculaneum that normally is less crowded.

Journey Plan
The tour will start from Naples port, our driver will wait for you by the dockside holding a sign with your surname on it. You will travel with an air-conditioned luxury sedan car or minivan driven by a professional English speaking local driver that will introduce you to the history and main sights that you will be see during your trip.
First stop will be in Positano, a tiered village built onto the side of the cliffs with a pebble beachfront and steep, narrow streets lined with boutiques and cafes.
After we will head to Sorrento, one of the most important and beautiful towns in southern Italy. Spend some free time walking through the streets with shops selling handmade ceramics, lacework and intarsio (marquetry items), famously produced in this area.
For lunch (optional), we can suggest the best place where to eat based on your preferences, we are locals and we really would like that you enjoy the time in our area.
The last stop will be Pompeii, here you will have 2 hours to visit the UNESCO-listed ruins of Pompeii. Buried under the pumice and ash of Mt Vesuvius’ 79 AD eruption, the once-thriving city remained preserved under the rubble. Today, it offers a fascinating look into ancient Roman life (entrance ticket at own expense). We suggest you to book an expert guide in Pompeii to better understand the importance of this archaeological site, the most important in the World! Guide is not included, the cost is 160 Euro for 2 hours.
You whole day tour to Positano, Sorrento and Pompeii is finished, relax in our vehicle while we will drive you back in Naples port.
