Journey Plan
The tour will start from Sorrento, as it's a private trip you will decide the pick up location, either from your hotel or any address in Sorrento or nearby towns. You will travel with an air-conditioned luxury sedan car or minivan driven by a professional English speaking local driver that will introduce you to all the details about your gastronomic tour.
First stop will be at the olive oil mill where you can visit the olive grove, the mill and taste the extra virgin olive oil and some typical products.
From the olive oil factory you will go to your second stop, a quaint little shop/tavern, where the owner will show you how the mozzarella cheese is made and you will also have the chance to taste the mozzarella just made.
Third stop is for the pizza. Together with your driver you will reach the hills of Sorrento, in a pizza place with a breathtaking view of the bay. Here you will be told the story of the original Neapolitan pizza, and you’ll learn how to prepare the dough for pizza using sourdough from the traditional recipe. Following the directions given you’ll make your own pizza and you’ll be surprised by your excellent job…which you’ll enjoy your meal afterwards!
After pizza it’s obviously time for limoncello … the famous lemon liqueur typical of Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast used as a digestive after lunch and after dinner. Our driver will drive to the best factory/shop in Sorrento and there you’ll taste limoncello and many other typical local liqueurs.
Now it’s time to visit Sorrento but the best way to do that is for sure walking in the old town while eating a yummy gelato…the driver will park near an ice cream Parlor and you’ll go together to buy the gelato and he will tell you where you’ll meet him after 1 hour of free for shopping and pictures.
