Journey Plan

This private shore excursion of Pompeii, Vesuvius and Winery visit will start from Sorrento, as it's a private trip you will decide the pick up address from your hotel or any address in Sorrento or nearby Sorrento's town. You will travel with an air-conditioned luxury sedan car or minivan driven by a professional licensed english speaking local driver that knows really well the area as he's local and can suggest you the best spot for photos and best things to see.

The first stop will be at Pompeii there you will have about 2 hours to visit the ancient city of Pompeii, famous as the city that lay buried beneath mounds of volcanic ash after the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius. We can also provide an expert guide that will walk with you  and will provide a historic commentary about the ruins, telling a terrible tale of the day it was destroyed, and bringing the remarkable site back to life.

Second stop is on the Vesuvius, we will drive with our comfortable vehicle on top of Vesuvius (about 1000 meters - 3280 feet) where you can walk near the crater and take beautiful pictures.

Then there is the stop for a lunch in the winery, you will proceed to visit an enchanting property found on the slopes of Mount Vesuvius. A short walk through the vineyards will be followed by a delicious meal made with typical local products found in the region. To accompany the lunch guests will be able to sample the famous red wine: Lachryma Christi.

The day trip will end in late afternoon by driving you back to Sorrento's port, in time to get back on your cruise, on the road you can admire other great view of Sorrento's coast.
